Dear K. S. Rawat ji,

Thank you for your e-mail. I appreciate the services which you are doing to help the needy people through this community group.

You have always been my inspiration & it is good to see the enormous & awesome work which you have done....... Hats off to you!!!!!!

I do understand your concern very much, Sir. Even, I have experiences in life which are not good as people don't speak truth always.

In my case, I can assure you, you need not to worry about the funds & the usage of it. I have seen so many things in my life that at a very young age, I do understand what the value of money is especially when it is someone else hard earned money.......

The fund raising which I had started for Master Mohit is because I know them personally,,,I have seen the baby boy turning blue due to this heart disease........I am sure who so ever sees that will feel the closeness of life & death.....

As a group member, personally I feel that it doesn't matter how the money gets transferred for the cause. The main concern should be that it is used properly as you have written in your e-mail. As such, whatever fund is coming it belongs to the PG group, as people felt like contributing to this.

I have given all the details for his file at AIIMS & the doctor at Rishikesh,,,,,,if you/anyone who doesn't trust the case can personally enquire about this.

Anyways, I know that you are not bothered with what I am doing, you are only concerned that the money is used properly & that too for the same issue.......

I had already planned to put the list by next week what so ever funds are going to be collected in the accounts......but now I will make sure that I put everything on this group once the funds are all done......you have given me the reason to do this without any fail......

One more thing Sir, I am really very grateful to you that you have started this group with all the members as it is a great hope for all the needy people for any cause........

Thank you for all your help & support.

I will get back to you ASAP with all the details of the funds.......don't worry I will personally make sure that not even a single penny gets wasted as whenever I see Mohit.....I am anxious about his life.....

I hope now you will feel little better & safe that I am not going to do any kind of cheat through this group......

Best regards,
Anil Gwadi

Dear All:

Since you four members are very active in helping people and arranging donations for the needy persons, we request you all to please ensure that the money goes to the right people and amount received by them in their accounts from PGG members are shared with the following trustees of the Group.

Myself KSRwat      -  sooni_ksr00@hotmail.com

R.P. Chamoli          -- r.p.chamoli@gmail.com
Rajiv Naithani        -- rajiv.naithani@globallogic.com

I would like to inform you that we are getting mails from the group members that why the donation is not routed thru PG Group account as we have been doing it for last 3 years. We have been convincing them that you are very respectful members of the group and that is why all the decisions/ donations collected thru you will surely be used for the treatment of the people for whom the help is seeked by you.

I have received a request from Mrs. Negi from Ghaziabad to arrange fee for her daughter, which is around 1 lac rupees. Please note that it would be better if you give the PG Group account details while sending a request for any donation so that it routed thru the PG Group account and utilized in proper manner and donation details are informed to the group members thru PG Group trust.

We would request you to please check the amount received by the needy people referred by you so that we can inform the group members about the money collected thru this forum.

Hope you will take this advise in the right spirit.

Arun,

Manali is very pictures and beautiful, where ever you go you will enjoy. But be cautious it will be very cold as well it may have snow fall.
Heli Skiing
For high mountain thrills perhaps nothing can surpass the magic of heli- skiing. The sport is available in the area abound by the Hanuman Tibba, Rohtang Pass, Deo Tibba and Chanderkhani Pass near Manali.

Hidimba Devi Temple
Hadimba or Dhungiri temple in Manali is one of the most important temples in the region. This four story wooden temple is located in the middle of a forest called the Dhungiri Van Vihar.

Mountaineering
Himachal Pradesh has some challenging peaks and each year expeditions are organised by the Mountaineering Institute at Manali. The Mountaineering Institute has regional centres at Dharamsala, Bharmour and Jispa, which organise adventure courses as well.

Gadhan Thekchoking Gompa
This Gompa dominates the Tibetan area around the bottom of the Mall in Manali. The Tibetan refugees built the Gompa in the late 1960's. The Gompa is covered with brightly coloured frescoes and a mid size Buddhist statute. It also carries a list of the martyrs killed in occupation of Tibet of 1987 to 1989.

Gulaba Camp
20-km from Manali, is this beautiful place famous for sightseeing, picnic and photography.

Malana Valley
In the valleys of Kullu and Manali below Chanderkhani Pass, situated at an altitude of 2,76m is a little hub of hundred houses. The village, which consists of 1,000 tribals, has an immaculate system of self-governance.

Manali Sanctuary
This sanctuary is located in District Kullu's nearest town, Manali. The area of this sanctuary is 3,180 hectares. The sanctuary wasnotified on 26th February 1954, under the Punjab Birds and Wild Animals Protection Act, 1933.

Mountaineering Institute
The Mountaineering Institute located at Manali provides training facilities for basic and advance climbing both for Indian nationals and foreigners. This institute also conducts other adventurous sports activities like high altitude trekking, minor mountaineering, rock-climbing, skiing, and high altitude rescue and relief courses. The institute has sufficient lodging and boarding arrangements and equipment can be hired for trekking purposes.

Naggar
Taken as an excursion from Kullu or Manali, Nagar also known as Naggar, is a very lovely village set on a hill surrounded by forests. Naggar was the capital of Kullu valley in the 16th century and the monuments in the region are witnesses to the glory it had once lived in.

Nehru Kund
It is a spring of clear, cold water, named after the late Prime Minister Jawaharlal Nehru and is 6-km from Manali on Keylong road.

Temple Of Manu
Slippery stones paths lead through the old village houses up to the temple of Manu. Manali is named after the sage Manu who meditated when he came in this area.

Tibetan Temple
Tibetans have a base in Manali too. There is a large modern Tibetan temple to the South of the bus stand and also a small handicrafts centre.

Vashisth Village
Famous for the sweeping valley views and sulphurous hot-water springs, the large settlement of Vashisht, formerly known as Bashist, just 3km from Manali, is an amorphous jumble of traditional timber houses and modern concrete cubes, divided by paved courtyards and narrow muddy lanes.

Winter Carnival
Snow continues to play a major part in February's festivals and Himachal's Winter Carnival is also held this month. Ski slopes of Kufri, Manali and Narkanda come to life with adventure seekers competing their way downhill. For daredevils, Manali, as a base camp, offers best opportunity for Heli-Skiing.
Rohtang Pass
(50Km.)
Rohtang Pass is the highest point, 4,112m, on the Manali-Keylong road, 51-km from Manali town. It provides a wide panoramic view of mountains rising far above clouds, which is a sight truly breath-taking.
Arjun Gufa
(5Km.)
On the left bank of the Beas, 5-km from Manali near the village of Prini, is the 'Arjun Gufa' or the cave of Arjuna. In here Arjuna practised austerities to get Pashupata Ashtra or weapon from Lord Indra.
Beas Kund
(50Km.)
It is the source of river Beas, at the Rohtang Pass and is easily accessible. The great sage, Vyas performed `Tapa' here during the Mahabharat times. The place is still hallowed by the celestial light. It was because of this that the river got the present name of Beas.
Jagatsukh Temple
(6Km.)
It is one of the biggest villages in Kullu district. About 6-km from Manali, Jagatsukh is famous for its Shiva temple that is built in "shikhara" style and nearby is the old and interesting Devi Sharvati temple.
Kothi
(12Km.)
It is a pretty little village, 12-km from Manali on the Keylong road at the foot of Rohtang Pass. There are very fine views from Kothi, and the Beas River flows through a very deep and narrow gorge at this point. The well-situated Public Works Department (PWD) Resthouse is a popular place for overnight stays. Close to the rest house is an awe-inspiring gorge where Beas enters a chasm about 61m deep and just few metres broad.
Old Manali
(3Km.)
The old Manali area is located some 3-km from the present day Manali. The old Manali is covered with guesthouses, which look ancient now, and orchards where the livestock move at will.
Rahalla Falls
(16Km.)
About 16-km from Manali and 4-km away from Kothi, at the start of the climb to the Rohtang Pass, are the beautiful Rahalla Falls at an altitude of 2,501m.
Solang Nullah
(14Km.)
14-km northwest of Manali in the Solang Valley, this place offers Himachal Pradesh's best ski slopes. The Mountaineering and Allied Sports Institute operates a 300m high ski lift and the month of February is the best month to ski over here. HPTDC runs seven-day package for ski courses with accommodation in the Hotel Rohtang Manaslu in Manali. Courses are also offered by the Mountaineering and Allied Sports Institute and the North Face Ski School.
Vashisth Hot Sulphur Springs
(3Km.)
This small village near Manali is famous for its scenic beauty. The village has a temple dedicated to Lord Rama and Vashisth Muni. The village has some hot water springs, which are said to carry medicinal properties. It is a picturesque little place, 3-km out of Manali but on foot the distance is a bit shorte
The Mall in Manali offers many interesting items to be purchased, from cloths to decorative pieces and gift items. Woollen goods are the town's real forte, particularly the brilliantly patterned shawls for which it is known for. The NSC or 'New Shopping Centre' Market near the bus stand sells a good selection. Another reliable emporium is the government - sponsored Bhutico, which has an outlet on the Mall, just opposite the tourist office. Around the bazaar there are innumerable stalls stacked with hand-woven goods and pillbox Kullu Topis. Manali's other specialty is Himalayan handicrafts, mainly assorted Tibetan curios such as prayer wheels, amulets, dorjees or thunderbolts, masks, musical instruments, jewellery and thangkas.

My Dear Friends,

Please see below a mail forwarded from one of my collegues.

Terrific, don't u think so.

Subject: Written by a Pakistani journalist about India

Capital suggestion
By Dr Farrukh Saleem

Here's what is happening in India:

The two Ambani brothers can buy 100 percent of every company listed on the
Karachi Stock Exchange (KSE) and would still be left with $30 billion to
spare. The four richest Indians can buy up all goods and services produced
over a year by 169 million Pakistanis and still be left with $60 billion to
spare. The four richest Indians are now richer than the forty richest
Chinese.

In November, Bombay Stock Exchange's benchmark Sensex flirted with 20,000
points. As a consequence, Mukesh Ambani's Reliance Industries became a $100
billion company (the entire KSE is capitalized at $65 billion). Mukesh owns
48 percent of Reliance.

In November, comes Neeta's birthday. Neeta turned forty-four three weeks
ago. Look what she got from her husband as her birthday present:
A sixty-million dollar jet with a custom fitted master bedroom, bathroom
with mood lighting, a sky bar, entertainment cabins, satellite television,
wireless communication and a separate cabin with game consoles. Neeta is
Mukesh Ambani's wife, and Mukesh is not India 's richest but the second
richest.

Mukesh is now building his new home, Residence Antillia (after a mythical,
phantom island somewhere in the Atlantic Ocean ). At a cost of $1 billion
this would be the most expensive home on the face of the planet. At 173
meters tall Mukesh's new family residence, for a family of six, will be the
equivalent of a 60-storeyed building. The first six floors are reserved for
parking. The seventh floor is for car servicing and maintenance. The eighth
floor houses a mini-theatre. Then there's a health club, a gym and a
swimming pool. Two floors are reserved for Ambani family's guests. Four
floors above the guest floors are family floors all with a superb view of
the Arabian Sea . On top of everything are three helipads. A staff of 600 is
expected to care for the family and their family home.

In 2004, India became the 3rd most attractive foreign direct investment
destination.. Pakistan wasn't even in the top 25 countries.

In 2004, the United Nations, the representative body of 192 sovereign member
states, had requested the Election Commission of India to assist the UN in
the holding elections in Al Jumhuriyah al Iraqiyah and Dowlat-e Eslami-ye
Afghanestan. Why the Election Commission of India and not the Election
Commission of Pakistan? After all, Islamabad is closer to Kabul than is
Delhi.

Imagine, 12 percent of all American scientists are of Indian origin; 38
percent of doctors in America are Indian; 36 percent of NASA scientists are
Indians; 34 percent of Microsoft employees are Indians; and 28 percent of
IBM employees are Indians.

For the record: Sabeer Bhatia created and founded Hotmail...

Sun Microsystems was founded by Vinod Khosla.

The Intel Pentium processor, that runs 90 percent of all computers, was
fathered by Vinod Dham.

Rajiv Gupta co-invented Hewlett Packard's E-speak project. Four out of ten
Silicon Valley start-ups are run by Indians.

Bollywood produces 800 movies per year and six Indian ladies have won Miss
Universe/Miss World titles over the past 10 years.
For the record: Azim Premji, the richest Muslim entrepreneur on the face of
the planet, was born in Bombay and now lives in Bangalore.India now has more
than three dozen billionaires; Pakistan has none (not a single dollar
billionaire).

The other amazing aspect is the rapid pace at which India is creating
wealth. In 2002, Dhirubhai Ambani, Mukesh and Anil Ambani's father, left his
two sons a fortune worth $2.8 billion. In 2007, their combined wealth stood
at $94 billion. On 29 October 2007, as a result of the stock market rally
and the appreciation of the Indian rupee, Mukesh became the richest person
in the world, with net worth climbing to US$63.2 billion (Bill Gates, the
richest American, stands at around $56 billion). Indians and Pakistanis have
the same Y-chromosome haplogroup. We have the same genetic sequence and the
same genetic marker (namely: M124).

We have the same DNA molecule, the same DNA sequence. Our culture, our
traditions and our cuisine are all the same. We watch the same movies and
sing the same songs. What is it that Indians have and we don't?

INDIANS ELECT THEIR LEADERS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

And also to mention: They think of Construction of own nation, unlike other
nations who are just concerned with destruction of others...

Simple answer why the Indian fare better than the Pakis'.. They don't focus
on religion and neither do they spend time and money in devising ways to
kill their own and everyone else over religion.

Re: To settle in Uttarakhand

Dear kala ji,

It is my privilege to write here that the people like you, who are thinking to settle in Uttarakhand instead of in any other metro city, may change the face of Uttarakhand in near future. Currently, the empty villages and destroying houses of our Dev Bhumi is the reality but it is due to the lack of opportunities and work in Uttarakhand instead of any other reasons. We people had gone and are going out in search of work & meal and for the progress of their own and children. I hope every uttarakhandi will think about settling in their own village at least after their retirement and I also hope that in near future the next generation will be accommodated in Uttarakhand for their jobs so that they may be able to get their prosperity nearby their own villages. I too want to settle in my village but due lack of facilities that we are enjoying here in Delhi is the main problem. May the Govt. Will take care of it and provide more & more facilities just like roads, water, electricity, education, hospitals, 'jobs and work for the needy persons by way of industrialisation' so that such persons who are born and brought in plain areas may like to settle in hilly areas i.e. in their villages.

I LIKE MY UTTARAKHAND!
I LOVE MY UTTARAKHAND!!
JAY UTTARAKHAND.!!!

Good Wishes & Regards,
Manohar Dhyani

Dear Lakheraji

I really agree with you that our village Sumari has given so many highly qualified professionals but they have done little or nothing for there village where they were born and brought up.

My parents also do not want to go back. Why ????????????? I dont know.

I like my village and I go every year there. Last month I was there for the ramleela and I like everything in my village. Half of the village is empty since people have moved out for greener pastures and most of the houses are empty.

There is Mr.M.P.KALA who is a CA and is doing his best for the development of the Village in a whole but I myself also want to do something for the development of our people and the village.

May be down the years I will settle in my village and not settle in a big city what my father or uncles did. Then only we will b able save our culture.

I pray that not only youth of Sumari but all villages in Uttarakhand stay put in

This is really great. It is generally seen that where parents are educated , they ensure that their children also get the best education possible. In case of Sumari , this is more ture because the great great grandparents were educated and they ensured that their children and grand children ge the best of education . Moreover, possibly the villagers had the advantage of so many godfathers to guide and help them.
Now one question, What these IAS. Dcotors, PHDs, et el have done for the village in particular and foe the area in general or have they also forgotten their Janmbhoomi like so many other IAS, Doctors, PHDs et el from Uttarakhand?
