Its really a good idea and would lead to greeener Uttarakhand!
Pls let us know the details.
(My family members+relatives (5-7) also want to plant on their bdayz)
Will we have choice of fruit trees? :) OR
May be a list to choose from.(Acc. to climate of area+need based).
Or May be some flower trees, etc. which also beautify the place arnd.

and save existing one…. In this regard I remember one old concept given by
Arun and Vishu… Plant Birth Day Tree…. Idea was about planting Few number of
trees on the occasion of ones own BirthDay and then taking care of them….
I am sure we all want to plant trees and willing to support the cause but
main problem is our busy schedule…. Most of us may not find the time to
plant tree or may not find the place to plant it and in case we are able to
plant few in some location then we might not be able to take care of the
plant…. And that's very practical and understandable…. We all are
professional and damm busy…
So we have a solution…. As you know we are working as a Platform for all of
them who wanna contribute for social cause… so we can use our platform for
this cause also…. We have an Inter Collage and a Village…. there we have
lots of Kids…. And we all know most of our Hills are without Trees….. to
stop them from more degradation and to preserve Watar/Soil we need to plant
Trees…. "Banjh" / "Akhroot" tree would be the best for this Cause…. So when
ever anyone has his BDay and wanna plant few trees… He/She may give the cost
for Trees and Plantation…. And Some Yearly amount to Students for watering
and taking care of those Tree… we will assign one kid from the village or
School to plant trees and take care of them… he/she will send you yearly
report about those trees… and due to all activity will be at common place so
when ever we will visit the place we will bring snaps for u…
One can go for Banjh Tree or Fruit trees…. So lemme know who all are
interested and revert back if you have any query or comments or suggestions…

Progress Report
As per task given to me about village coordination, a meeting was held with Shri Naresh Chandra (Permanent Employee) who is visting project area on 7th June, 2008. Before leaving to project area, I had discussed the various matter with Shri Naresh.. Following amount was handed over to him for monthly recurring expenditure :
10x300 = 3000 for Pension of Ten person - May
1x500 = 500 Salary for one teacher - June
1x700 = 700 Salary for another teacher - June
1x1100=1100 Salary for Vipin - May
1x4500=4500 Salary for Naresh - May
2. Besides following task was given to Shri Naresh:
Distribution of money to all concerned and take all receipt in this regard.
Door to Door Survey - Filling up Family survey proforma with the help of Vipin
List out student who have given High School and Inter Exam in gram sabha and their result.
Meeting with Cooperatives about the progress of soyabeen and what more they will grow in their field or given to us for marketing.
Collection of Soil Samples
One to one talk with samiti members about their feedback about our action.
Medical case of Subhash Nath if check up then take report from them
Meeting with both Gram pradhan about problems and prospects of the area.

As far as information collection from school, vipin will be guided for regular visit to the school till the information got.
familier with villagers through one to one meeting.
Any possibility for plantation in that area means whether villager interested for plantation work. if yes then interested plants.
Meeting with Teachers and Village employee about their progress
I will convene a meeting on sunday next week in my house, where core members will be invited. Issue of non-replying on the important subject/request will be discussed. I have two pending task for accounts and income tax. I am already on that job. As soon as we got CA approval on balance sheet we will finished both issue.

It is happy to inform you that activites of Project Kaliggad is in full swing. Foundation SHURWAAT had already employed four youth in their roster. One for Delhi Office and three in Village. Our Delhi Office's Coordinator is visiting Project Area on regular interval. Now a days he is in project area.
2. It may be seen from various mail posted by various members that our Core members do not reply many important mail. In the absence of their feedback it is very difficult to take decision on that issue. Many issues are pending due to non-response of our members:
a) Course for personality Development School.
b) Plantation on the day of birthday of our near and dear.
c) Office in Delhi
d) Computer training for our Delhi Coordinator
e) Sponsoreship for Infrastructure for Delhi Office.
f) Sponsoreship for Lab/Home Science library at School
g) Sponsoreship of recurring expenditure on salaries/Nirashrit Pension
h) Responsibilities disbution (on choice basis)
i) Second hand computer for Delhi OFfice and cell phone for Village Coordinator either on donation or payment basis.
3. Many other issues are also pending. Please cooperate.
4. It is our earnest request to all our esteemed members that please give your feedback on the above issues. As you may be aware that we also need financial help from our members, so please deposit your membership fees either directly on AXIS bank or send a cheque to our Registered Office.
