Anyone who has been emotionally attached with the struggle of UKD in the past, today feels desperate and hurt. The party has let everyone down. I have yet to come across people who are not in politics who have spoken highly about UKD. Even today they have not learned any lessons. While I congratulate the person who writes on behalf of UKD in Facebook for his good presentation, I actually feel he is flogging a dead horse. A few days back UKD announced that it was going to have a demonstration in Dehradun for a cause. What have they achieved? They actually stand exactly where they were earlier. The cause for which they held a demonstration still remains exactly where it was? When will UKD realise that activism today cannot sustain with the 'aaj do abhi do' attitude. Today activism has to be knowledge based. People are better connected today through the new mediums of communication. Had I had a say in UKD I would have first prepared a PIL in the subject and taken a stay order and then let the court decide. To make the issue wide based I would then have mobilised the affected people and then send petitions to the courts. The demonstrations would have been only a supporting strategy. I once again reiterate that UKD should open its doors to talent which has proved itself in the competitive world otherwise from the curretn stock nothing fruitful can be expected. Today for me too UKD is a past love. Better not to remember it because it causes pain.But like a true lover I would wish it happiness. At the end I would like to thank Kukretiji for his wonderful satire.RegardsJP Dabral

Dr. Polit from Germany (currently in India) and one of the PG Group member had sent one request in the Group on the subject and it's really great to know that our beautiful people are willing to help her in her project.

She need the inputs from both age groups as one of the main objectives of her project is to find out who is considered young by Uttarakhandi standards and why.

She would like to schedule a time for a meeting with you all, who have shown their interest in her project. She can even visit your place or can have a meeting with all at one suggested place.

One more thing I would like to share with you that Dr. Polit had attended PG Group's last meeting held at Garhwal Bhawan. She speaks fluently in HINDI so you can share your experience in both languages... Hindi & English.
