Dear Bhagwati ji
 
I am happy that you expressed such wonderful words.
 
Don't worry we all are patriotic and belief in "Unity in Diversity" which is my great country's identify. Nation comes first then any region or state. That's why we are not in favour of concentrating our resources only to metros and big cities which are already developed like Dehradun. If we want progress of all citizens of our country irrespective of their religion, caste and language we have to move our resources  to far flung areas. We can do that by developing new cities and towns (e.g. Australia and South Africa). At the same time we have to nurture our cultural diversity.
 
So, creating a new capital Garisain will really boost the growth of our Uttarakhand and give it a feeling of youthfull, freshness and liveliness. Dehradun is an old city and it does not represent the feeling of new born state of Uttarakhand. If State is new why the capital should be an old city.
 
Rest of benefits you can imagine
 
In this way i fully support Kukreti Bhaisaheb.

I agree with the people who thinks that making GAIRSAIN , the capital of uttaranchal will not solve the basic problem a garhwali is facing in the hilly area of uttaranchal.
Why we need GAIRSAIN the capital? because its a hilly place ?If the answer is yes , i want to ask you people why no body raised voice to keep only hilly area as part of uttaranchal ?
But we should keep in our mind that without these non-hilly place uttaranchal is nothing.
What is the harm in dehradun? As long as our netas are corrupted , nothing is going to change.
This is my view only....

What developments have been done in last 10 years from Dehradun? We can see example of Bihar where Nitish Kr. has worked a lot to develop the state within few years. But Uttarakhand politicians are still sleeping & implementing useless or ineffective development policies. These backward hilly areas of uttarakhand will be in limelight of Newspapers & Media and then these shameless politician will be forced to develop the Hills of Uttarakhand.

Dehradun, Haridwar, Rudrapur, Nanital etc are already in development focus for last 10 yrs but now is the turn for Gairsain and like other lest-developed areas. So my opinion is in favour of GAIRSAIN as capital of Uttarakhand.

Emotions and rational become extremes in such occasions.
 
Its high time the emotional people talk of development, governance, rooting out corruption, Infrastructure, Jobs and when we are rich enough we can have a new capital.

So let us all propose Bhopal as capital of our country as people in down south are facing difficulties coming to Delhi for admin work???????? And it will lead to the develpoment also????? What do u say Group????
 
If anyone have an answer to my questions listed above, i welcome their point of view but please for heaven's sake do not indulge in emotional speeches. I am up for the devlepment of the state but i am against the unwanted duplication of state infrastucture and machinery. I do not pay taxes to feed the political fancies of the hypocrate politicians! !!!

With all due respect to shri bhagwati semwal ji,
As you said u r based in delhi but i also assume that sometimes u r also
visiting ur native place in Uttarakhand. Sir...Can u see any systematic &
effective development in Hill Areas of Uttarakhand like pithoragarh, pauri,
uttarkashi etc. ( except whatever little work is done in plains area-
dehradun, haridwar, rudrapur, nanital etc.)
Good Roads can not only do development of Uttarakhand, we need much more
effective policies & plans from our uttarakhand politicians.
I am also afraid that if u r well aware of Uttarakhand Aandolan History &
Facts. Gairsain is not just like any other place, its a symbol of
development of Uttarakhand's Hill areas. And If we say that Gairsain should
not be capital then it means Hill areas will also not develop for eternity.
Our Uttarakhand is so behind in development work that the development must
be started from Hill Areas.
Finally while sitting in any metro city, It is easy for us to say that
gairsain should not be capitaI but the same thing we will never say if we
are living in less-developed hill areas of Uttarakhand.

सादर प्रणाम,  काफी  दिनों  से  यही  चर्चा  चल  रही  है  की  गैरसैण राजधानी  होनी  चाहिए  /नहीं  होनी  चाहिए
जहाँ  तक  आप  बुजुर्ग  लोगों  को  जितना मालूम  होगा  शायद  हमको  उतना नहीं ...जब  से  उत्तराखंड राज्य  की  मांग  शुरु हुई ...गैरसैण  को  तभी  राजधानी  मान  के चल  रहे  थे ..उस  समय  किसी  भी  राजनितिक  पार्टी  ने  यह  नहीं  कहा  की  राजधानी  का  स्थान  परिवर्तन  किया  जाय. आज जब अलग राज्य बन गया तो नेतागण अपनी सुविधा अनुसार तराई छेत्र को प्राथमिकता दे रहे हैं  और आज वो
भूल चुके हैं की कभी गैरसैण राजधानी की मांग  भी हुई थी, कई महानुभावों का मत है की वो पैसा ब्यर्थ ही ब्यय होगा जो की गैरसैण राजधानी बनाने पे लगाया जायेगा , ग्रुप में प्रकाशित मेल जो मैंने पढ़ी है की राजधानी बनाने पे कितना खर्च आएगा ...जहाँ तक मेरा अनुमान है ये राशी उस नुक्सान से काफी कम है जो की राजधानी तराई में रहने से पहाड़ों को होगा,  अगर गैरसैण राजधानी होती है तो
अधिकारी बर्ग को और नेता गणों को राजधानी आना जाना होगा जिसके लिए सड़कें , दूरसंचार सेवा, विधुत सेवा कुछ हद तक सुधर जायेंगे , गैरसैण केन्द्र बिंदु होने के कारण कई बाहरी लोगों का आना जाना होगा जिसके कारण पर्यटन में भी कुछ इजाफा हो सकता है और निःसंदेह आवाजाही से रोजगार बढ़ने के भी आसार हैं पलायन पर भी रोक लगेगी स्थानीय लोगों को रोजगार मिल सकता है जो बाहरी
ब्यक्ति देहरादून में हमारे भाई बंधों को लूटने में लगे हैं वो शायद पहाड़ों में प्राकृतिक आपदाओं के भय  से ना जाये और उसके स्थान पर हमारा पहाड़ी भाई अपना रोजगार पा सके .
इसलिए सभी उत्तराखंडी भाइयों से निवेदन है की वो ये सोचकर ना चलें की हम तो दिल्ली , बम्बई या किसी और शहर  में बस गए हैं और कभी राजधानी में काम पड़े भी तो वो देहरादून ही ठीक है ...देहरादून मेरे ख्याल से सिर्फ अमीर, ब्य्व्सायी बर्ग और बाहरी लोगों के लिए ठीक है किसी भी पहाड़ी ब्यक्ति का कभी भी विकास नहीं हो सकता देहरादून राजधानी रहने पर, शायद मैं गलत हूँ या पहाड़ी भावनाओं में
बह कर ये सब लिख रहा हूँ लेकिन ये कडवी सच्चाई है. और इसको समझना बहुत जरूरी है,

Gairsain (I many time attack on supporters but for different causes) is not only capital but it provideds a sense of development of Hills of Uk as per the real need of Hills and not need of plains

These politicians have been totally failed in preserving Uttarakhand culture, traditions, local languages & Development which was the main motive of creation of Uttarakhand. I understand that local people can only play a great role in that but what is the responsibility of State Govt., what they are doing for this !!
When Gairsain will be capital...these politicians will be forced to see our undeveloped PAHAD, interior backward hills....Then these blind politicians will be forced to see the real uttarakhand which is very beautiful but also ironically a very poor state. These backward hilly areas of uttarakhand will be in limelight of Newspapers & Media and then these shameless politician will be forced to develop the Hills of Uttarakhand.

Dehradun, Haridwar, Rudrapur, Nanital etc are already in development focus for last 10 yrs but now is the turn for Gairsain and like other lest-developed areas. So my opinion is in favour of GAIRSAIN as capital of Uttarakhand.

Emotions and rational become extremes in such occasions.
 
Its high time the emotional people talk of development, governance, rooting out corruption, Infrastructure, Jobs and when we are rich enough we can have a new capital.
 
I know I have got some daggers out for me by saying this.
 
No problems.

Now coming to the facts only MP, Gujarat, to some extent AP, Assam and Bihar have there capital which is centrally located. Even for that matter Delhi is also not centrally located as capital.
 
So let us all propose Bhopal as capital of our country as people in down south are facing difficulties coming to Delhi for admin work???????? And it will lead to the develpoment also????? What do u say Group????
 
If anyone have an answer to my questions listed above, i welcome their point of view but please for heaven's sake do not indulge in emotional speeches. I am up for the devlepment of the state but i am against the unwanted duplication of state infrastucture and machinery. I do not pay taxes to feed the political fancies of the hypocrate politicians! !!!

Dear Puran, Your response has been a bit slow. The recommendations were being sought in November 2010. I wish representations were made for atleast Rishikesh- Chamoli or Rishikesh-Karnaprayag- Gairsain, Ramnagar-Chaukutia, and the Tanakpur -Pithoragarh routes. Also too be looked is the Kotdwar-Satpuli and Yamuna valley which will benefit many in Uttarakhand and Himachal. What we require is a network of railways and not just one or two railway lines. The planning should be for an alternative to the road routes that we have for the hills. Use of tunnelling technologies and routes away from the roads should be charted. I personally would have preferred a ropeway network. The current technologies have made ropeways very safe and are able to take loads for long distances. To me they seem to be more economic and viable. RegardsJP Dabral

*There is clearly effects of cultures Khas, Kanaiti, Sanitaria , Vedic and
Nathpanthi philosophy on Garhwali Folk drama (Dance, songs, and
performances) *

*As per records initialy Khas settled in Garhwal, Kanaiti kingdom came in
power after Khas dynasty and later on Kainturas took ove Garhwal and Kumaun
before Panwar dynasty took over Garhwal. *

*There is a folk drama (mixture of songs, dance and performance) called Kula
char . Dr Shiva Nand Nautiyal in his famous book Garhwal ke Nrity-Geet ,
provided references that Kainturai kings and earlier kings (Thakurai etc)
used to call Aunji/Das (Drum play experts) and used to listen Kulachar or
Manglachar .*

*Kulachar or manglachar is praising the king in poetic style. This type of
praise is necessary for enhancing self esteem . *

*The hymns of Rig-Veda , Atharv -Veda or other Vedas are nothing but the
literature of enhancing self esteem as *

डॉ निशंक को पदम् पुरुस्कार मिले यह सभी उत्तराखंडियों के लिए गोरव की
बात है परन्तु उत्तराखंड की भाषा के पक्ष में पारित प्रस्ताव को सरकार द्वारा
फिर वापस लिए जाना उत्तराखंड के भाषा भाषियों के लिए दुर्भाग्य पूर्ण है !
प्रदेश में अधिकांश बोली जाने वाली गढ़वालि कुमौनी को शाषन द्वारा सम्मान मिलना
चाहिए परन्तु उत्तराखंड राज्य बनने के बाद आज तक उत्तराखंड की भाषाओँ के लिए
किसी ने कुछ नहीं किया !
निशंदेह डॉ निशंक भाषा विद्वान है और वह यह सब कुछ जानते हैं उनसे उत्तराखंड की
भाषा पर वर्षों से कार्य करने वाले शोधार्थियों साहित्यकारों कबियों की
अपेक्षाएं भी है कि वह अपनी दोनों बोलियों को स्थान दिलाने के लिए
सम्बंधित भाषा विभाग को निदेशन करें ! वर्तमान में डॉ साबित मोहन भाषा विभाग की
निदेशिका उनके आदेश का इंतजार कर रही है !
