please advice me.

Namaste to all PGG membres.

I want share something with you and i hope you will read it serious and send
me valuable advice.

I Am Narendra Singh Dungriyal I belong From Kirtinagar Tehri Garhwal. I am
an engg. my father is a C.O in indian army. i have a small family my mom,
papa, younger brother and sister. actually the metter is I Love a girl who
belong from Dehra Dun. and She also Loves me so much. We like each other
since 2 years. she is on study. I am a hindu rajput,and she too. But now
we heve wanted getting marriage and i heve shown this metter front of my
parents. accordig of my parents they have been persuaded. we were so happy
and my father goes toward and maked a call to her parents.all was going so
good. both familes were ready to a meeting.

But suddenly her mother hah interfere with this metter and she has
refused this marriage. our all dreams came to down.

when we asked-:What is the reson?
she Replied- Pahari Log Acche Nahi Hote. Hum apni beti ko Pahad mai kese de
sakte hai ? log kya kahenge ?
Humari kya ijjat reh jayegi ? log to plains mai rista dete hai or hum plains
mai rehne ke babjud bhi apni beti ko kese pahad mai de de.

Papa ne unhe bahut samjaya. ki har insan or mahol ek jaisa nahi hota Humari
community, humari family sab kuch similar hai. or rahi baat pahad mai rehne
ki to aapko to pata hi hai aazkal pahad mai hai hi kon sab to Bahar hi rehte
hai dono bacche bhi bahar hi to rahenge hume baccho ke baare mai sochna
chaiye. wo apna bhala bura soch samaj sakte hai.

par wo nahi maani. now i am nothing understand that what should i do?
I will never forego her. i can not parted from her? main to thoda samal bhi
jaunga but she is so hopeless. she lives alone away from family account of
study. my mind is freezed i have no idea that what shall i do? main khud
khuch nahi samaj pa raha hu so how shall i understan her?
ushne ro-ro ke bura hall kar rakha hai. my all aforts hadn't coward with
success.

please help me please

it is the question of two lifes. if we will parted from each other i think
u have to lose to a pgg member. realy i don't know but we can do anything.

Hi Narendera

You are really in very tough situation, please do not get confused and go by what your mind says. I have a suggestion for you,
Ask your parents & yourself and visit to girl's family and try to convince here, becasue when they will meet face to face they will understand your position also, also tell them what if their daughter makes marriage with you since she is mot minor now, what will happen then, what will happen to their izzat etc.. then, please tell them that you are mature enough to take a decesion.

Also, if your parents are with you phir darna kya, ask your lover to make a lelgal marriage with you and as time passes then her parents will also realise that you have taken a right step to lead your life the way you wanted it to be.

According to me you need to stick with your own decision and i am sure finally things will comes in your favour so please don't worry and stick with your words.

Dear Narendra,

I read what all you have written in this mail. I am sad to hear that even
Garhwali people are differentiating between Garhwalis living in Pahars and
Plains.

If you will look into this matter, being a neutral person, you will find
that her concern is correct too. The issue is not with you living in Pahar
but the issue is that you are staying in Pahar, which lacks facilities in
every sense. This is with all the places of Uttarakhand, which are under
developed.

This is with all the parents that they don�t want to send their girls to
Pahars because they think that the place lack with all the facilities.

In future when one will have kids, where they will study?
Is there any good school there?
Will the girl be comfortable in such terrain area?
Will the girl will find the same kind of society over there.?
Will the mentality of her will match with local people?.
Will your family will get proper medical facility there?

These questions are endless which comes in every parent�s mind when they
think about their daughter�s marriage.

So its not the mother�s fault, the situation is like this. But in this case
what you have to do is to remain cool and to make the situation according to
you.

If you are working outside Tehri , somewhere in Plains then you have a
strong point to tell them that the girl will stay with you only and not in
Pahar. As many people have migrated from there, I am sure you too will
settle somewhere in Plains only. The reason can be anything, your job, your
society anything.

What u will have to do is if everything is right, you both are
Uttarakhandis, garhwali Rajput, everything going fine then try your best to
influence her mother with all these examples. Try to convince her father and
brother or sister coz at this moment their words will have more weight.

Tell the girl not to loose hope, even u too dont loose hope. Have faith on
God. And if majority thinks that you are right then try till you succeed.
Life is not so easy brother.

But at the same time I will advise you both that don�t take any such wrong
step which will defame your love later or coz of which your parents will be
ashamed of you for entire life. If you both are true lovers then �Rise in
love, not fall in love��. are u getting.

You both might wait for year or two but only those people win who keeps
their attempts ongoing.

agreed........... you raised a valid point here . adding on this i want to share some more fact . when we found uttranchal from UP , our govt had exciting offer for IT comp and for initial step we found IT park in dehradun as a result many company registered them self including Microsoft as well.but why we are not able to get the next step coz of our bull sit politician. companies didn't get any response from our govt.our politician are happy with their Lalbatti Car.they dont care about anythng else.here we can take a very good example of Tata cheapest car Nano. after Kolkotta incident, state like gujrat maharastra approched Tata comp for new setup in their respective states,in uttranchal Rudrapur has a big setup of Tata moteres  and they are manufacturing some small parts for this car also.  i am sure agar humari govt thoda try karti to first Nano car humare state se aati.but our hard luck.........  
and one more shocking news for all of you..........from uttranchal sthapna divas to till now our govt has invested 2600 cr in IT sector.now you can think where all these money went.
do something folks..........

Hi,
 
Please don't get misunderstood by the word BPO attached with IT. I  mean to say our government should support software development industry.software industry provide a better quality life, it need qualified english speaking engineers. It provide more jobs and it is private industry and it give birth to new entrepreneurs, innovation and good infrastructure.
 
Do you people don't think uttarakhand goverment should place IT as a major policy for state development. Don't talk about what India did, talk about we are doing(Uttarakhand) . our people still look for jobs in other state which block uttarakhand development. 
 
I don't want to make of discussion over this but what I am looking for (support/suggestion s)
can we put these point in front of uttarakhand goverment by some good means to set up and invite companies like Wipro,Infosys, TCS etc in uttarakhand not in hill areas(kumaon\ Garhwal)  because we not loose our beauty  but in plain areas like Dehradun, Haridwar,Rudrapur etc.

With the present state of our state we need both of them, Vigyan Bhavan and BPO. 

As well we need many other avenue that provide employment opportunity and are suitable to our region. 

To name some Argo tourism, aqua farming, animal farm, educational institution,  hospitality industry, craft, cutlery and allied industry.

I feel as much  India has earn name in world due to Engineers, doctors Professor & we have not earn by by BPO.BPO is giving us bread & butter. We need both as india is very big country(all can not become engineer & doctors) & one feild will not be enough. At the end what  parents want their childerens as Doctor, Engineer & prophessor or BPO employee.
My personal view I would like more & more VIGYAN BHAVAN in our place(These VIGYAN BHAVAN will invite all the industry).

IT/BPO industry is boon for country like India and good states ( e.g. Maharashtra, Karnataka, Tamilnadu etc) are getting benefited by this.       You have raised a very valid point about the way our government is functioning. I THINK TIME HAS COME NOW -WHEN PEOPLE WILL START RAISING THEIR VOICE ABOUT THE PRACTICES OF THE STATE GOVERNMENT -RAMPANT CORRUPTION AND NO ACCOUNTABILITY. THE MORE PEOPLE DISCUSS ABOUT THESE MATTERS , THE MORE THE AWARENESS WILL BE IN GENERAL PUBLIC. OVERALL , THE WHOLE POLITICAL SYSTEM IN INDIA IS ABSOLUTELY CORRUPT AND MANIPULATIVE. THIS WILL NOT CHANGE UNTILL PEOPLE START PROTESTING AGAINST THIS.
 
    I am from pauri, garhwal but brought and living in baroda since last 35 years. I have seen
the transformation of uttranchal from being part of UP to being a seperate state.I dont think any substantial development has happened in these years, on the contray cost of living has gone up ,and the cost of buying a house has zoomed up.
 
    As a country we dont have any more leaders or wellwishers of the state, only power grabbers with vested interest are found everywhere.

agreed...... ..... you raised a valid point here . adding on this i want to share some more fact . when we found uttranchal from UP , our govt had exciting offer for IT comp and for initial step we found IT park in dehradun as a result many company registered them self including Microsoft as well.but why we are not able to get the next step coz of our bull sit politician. companies didn't get any response from our govt.our politician are happy with their Lalbatti Car.they dont care about anythng else.here we can take a very good example of Tata cheapest car Nano. after Kolkotta incident, state like gujrat maharastra approched Tata comp for new setup in their respective states,in uttranchal Rudrapur has a big setup of Tata moteres  and they are manufacturing some small parts for this car also.  i am sure agar humari govt thoda try karti to first Nano car humare state se aati.but our hard luck........ .  

and one more shocking news for all of you......... .from uttranchal sthapna divas to till now our govt has invested 2600 cr in IT sector.now you can think where all these money went.

Please don't get misunderstood by the word BPO attached with IT. I  mean to say our government should support software development industry.software industry provide a better quality life, it need qualified english speaking engineers. It provide more jobs and it is private industry and it give birth to new entrepreneurs, innovation and good infrastructure.
 
Do you people don't think uttarakhand goverment should place IT as a major policy for state development. Don't talk about what India did, talk about we are doing(Uttarakhand) . our people still look for jobs in other state which block uttarakhand development. 
 
I don't want to make of discussion over this but what I am looking for (support/suggestion s)
can we put these point in front of uttarakhand goverment by some good means to set up and invite companies like Wipro,Infosys, TCS etc in uttarakhand not in hill areas(kumaon\ Garhwal)  because we not loose our beauty  but in plain areas like Dehradun, Haridwar,Rudrapur etc.

I feel as much  India has earn name in world due to Engineers, doctors Professor & we have not earn by by BPO.BPO is giving us bread & butter. PGG has been doing yeoman service to the State by undertaking projects in different schools in addition to other activities.  It would be advisable that they raise such issues during their visits to the schools and ask  the school authorities to approach concerned State Govt authorities in the matter so that presence of IT could be made in different areas of the State (though  at a lower level to start with).

डा. वीरेंद्र बत्र्वाल/नीरज डोभाल, देहरादून/पौड़ी लगता नहीं कि इन सूने गांवों में आज से दो-तीन दशक पहले बारहमासी रौनक रहती होगी। सर्दी के दिनों में अनुष्ठानों और शादियों के मौकों का तो कहना ही क्या था, जब गांवों में सतरंगी बहार आ जाती थी, लेकिन आज यहां के अधिकतर मकान खंडहर हो चुके खेत, खेत उजाड़ हैं। सरकार गांवों से पलायन रोकने के दावे कर सुखद सपने का अहसास करा
रही हो, लेकिन अपनी थाती की इस दुर्दशा पर यहां के बुजुर्गो की आंखों में निराशा के आंसू झरते हैं। पलायन ने लोगों को अपनी माटी से बिछड़ा दिया है। रोजगार, शिक्षा और सुविधाओं की लालसा ने पहाड़ के गांव के गांव खाली कर दिए हैं। अफसोसजनक यह कि यह सिलसिला अलग राज्य बनने के बाद भी थमा नहीं। राज्य बनने के बाद जिस युवा को सरकारी नौकरी मिली, वह भी सबि धाणि देरादूण की तर्ज पर शहर में ही
बस गया। आज नतीजा यह है कि पहाड़ के गांवों के अधिकतर घर महज साल में दो-तीन बार ही उनके मालिकों द्वारा गेस्ट हाउस की तरह इस्तेमाल किए जाते हैं, शादी-विवाह के मौकों पर। जमीन का तो कोई पूछने वाला नहीं। पौड़ी गढ़वाल की थनगड़ घाटी हो या टिहरी गढ़वाल की डागर और लोस्तू-बडियारगढ़ पट्टियों के गांव। पलायन के दर्द के उकेरते ये सूने गांव भविष्य की भयावह तस्वीर बयां करते हैं। थनगड़
घाटी के 45 गांवों में कभी खूब चहल-पहल रहती थी। प्रकृति की वादियों में बसी यह घाटी एक जमाने फल और दाल उत्पादन में अग्रणी पंक्ति में थी, लेकिन अब पलायन ने इन गांवों की तस्वीर बदल दी है। जिला मुख्यालय से 25 किलोमीटर दूर घंडियाल कस्बे के पश्चिमी ओर विस्तृत भूभाग पर फैली थनगड़ घाटी के ये पलायन की पीड़ा भोग रहे हैं। घाटी में बसे इन गांवों की आबादी सात हजार हंै। यहां के लोग सड़क से
पीठ पर बोझा ढोकर दस किमी पैदल दूरी तय करते हैं। बाजार, विद्यालय, स्वास्थ्य केंद्र और बस पकड़ने के लिए लोग मीलों पैदल चलते हैं। सरकार ने सड़कें बनाई, पर आधी-अधूरी। विद्युतीकरण किया, लेकिन समस्या लो वोल्टेज। विद्यालय दूर होने से बालिका शिक्षा का बुरा हाल। प्राइमरी के बाद उन्हें घर की जिम्मेदारियां सौंप दी जाती हैं और बचपन चूल्हा-चौका और छोटे भाई-बहनों की देखभाल में कट
रहा है। कुदरत ने इस क्षेत्र को इनायत तो बख्शी है, लेकिन लोग कृषि व पशुपालन से लगातार दूर होते जा रहे हैं। खेती अब बूढ़ों और औरतों के जिम्मे है। ग्रामीण जगमोहन रावत व कल्जीखाल ब्लाक के ज्येष्ठ उप प्रमुख विश्व प्रकाश डंगवाल कहते हैं कि बीहड़ जंगलों के बीच बसे इन गांवों में जंगली जानवरों का भी खतरा है। यही पीड़ा टिहरी गढ़वाल की डागर पट्टी के दूरस्थ गांवों-टोला,ग्वाड़ व
राडागाड की है। सड़क से दस किमी दूर इन गांवों में इसी दायरे में कोई चिकित्सा सुविधा नहीं है। सिरदर्द जैसी मामूली बीमारी पर भी दवा के लिए मीलों पैदल। सड़क सुविधा के लिए सरकार की दर पर दस्तक देते-देते लोग थक चुके हैं।?माध्यमिक शिक्षा की दशा भी ठीक नहीं। इन असुविधाओं के बीच शहरों में थोड़ा बहुत गुजारा करने लायक युवक अपने बच्चों और माता-पिता को साथ रखना ही उचित समझते
हैं।

Prayerful & New Year Season's greetings from the family of USS, Lucknow, India.
 
On the occasion of completion of eleven years of "Uttranachal Swar Sangam", a cultural programme was conducted at Lucknow on 19/12/2009. The Chief Guest on the occasion was Shri D.S. Bafila, Chairman, Himalayan Institute of Technology & Management, Lucknow & President, Parvatiya Mahaparishad. The cultural programme was conducted under the auspicious patronage of Lucknow Mayor Shri Dinesh Sharma. Dr. MC Pant, Padamshree was also one of the distinguished guests of the programme. The programme was graced by several distinguished guests from all walks of life. There were various facets presented during the progaramme.
 
The progarmme reflected the culture, tradition, folk dances and songs of the small Himalayan State of Uttrakhand. The people of Uttranchal origin made it a grand success with large gatherings. A souvenir (first edition) Swar-Sangam Smarika-2009 (Mulkeyaad) was also released on the occasion. The souvenir is edited by Shri Mahendra Singh Gailakoti (myself).
 
The cultural programme, began with a Vandana song followed by solo & duet songs. Several Uttranchali folk dances such as Zhora, Chapeli, Thariya were also presented. The spectators were thrilled with a grand show of their culture under one roof. Several artists of Uttranchali origin presented their skills & devotion before an applauding audience.
