Sunny days for Uttarakhand tourism ahead...

Here's some good news for Uttarakhand tourism. The government has decided to upgrade four cities with maximum tourist draw into tourist spots of international status. The state plans to set the ball rolling very soon and has sought financial assistance from the Asian Development Bank.
Dehra Dun, Mussoorie and Nainital have always been the hot tourist destinations of international repute. Lack of infrastructure and other amenities have never restricted the influx of international tourists to these cities. But despite the breathtaking views, beautiful forests and amazing wildlife most other cities in the state have failed to earn the same status.
Even after Uttarakhand achieved statehood, these cities could not be developed as tourist destinations though they are more mesmerizing and beautiful than Mussoorie and Nainital.
Realizing the potential of some of these places, the tourism department of the state has now decided to develop at least four cities as tourist destinations of international status. For this they have selected Chakrata, New Tehri (Lake area), Dhomakot and Pithoragarh. A detailed project report is being prepared and work is scheduled to begin soon.
³These four cities would not only be developed as tourist centres but as tourist cities, that could occupy a spot on the international tourist map,´
The ADB has agreed to finance this project of the state government. Now the ministry is only waiting for the project report to be completed.
The minister asserts that work would start as early as October this year. This is perhaps the first time in the history of independent India that a Himalayan region cities are being converted into the tourist cities of international standards, claimed the minister adding that after the success of this the project would be extended to other areas as well.
Besides the ministry is also planning to prepare twelve new tourist destinations and two villages in each district would be tourist villages. There would be one tourist area in each Assembly region.

Just for your information please..

Certainly a good news!!!

This is what is required from the Government. It will not only boost the image of Uttarakhand but will add to the financial kitty of Government besides the most important thing i.e. new employment opportunities for people living in those areas.

I have been to Nainital and just due to tourist inflow there, a large number of people are getting employment. Perhaps this step will also reduce the outflow of people from Uttarakhand, at least from those and neighbouring areas.

Well i would like to know where is Chakrata located in Uttarakhand.

Keep Smiling it costs nothing
With Best Wishes
Kuldeep Negi

Mr Dhirendra Pratap Ji,

With all due respect,

Please dont use martyrs for ur political purpose and try to get the emotional support. People scarificed not for Garisain or Dehradoon.......they did it for UTTRAKHAND.....

There is no use in changing capital. It will be just waste..... Development can be done without making capital.

If you are not able to find any issue for ur rally then I am sure we ppl can give u better issues.

Thx.

Recession is coming... Reminder to all my friends

Recession is coming .... make your own judgment, don't panic !! Do what is
wise.

The recession looks very eminent.. It is really time to take pro active
steps to avoid a painful time in the next two years which is how long the
recession is expected to last.

Suggestions:

1. Don't take any loans; buy homes, properties with loans, or even cash.
Keep as much cash as possible.

2. Pay off as much of personal loans, private loans, as debt collection
will be hastened.

3. Sell any stocks you can even at lower prices.

4. Take money off from Trust Funds.

5. Don't believe in huge sales forecast from customers, be extremely
prudent, lowest inventories, reduce liabilities.

6. Don't invest in new capital.

7. If you are selling homes/ properties/ cars, do it now, when you can get
good prices, they are going to fall.
8. Don't invest in new business proposals.
9. Cancel holiday plans using credit cards.
10. Don't change jobs, as companies will retrench based on 'last in first
out'.

Stay cool, wait, and if you took all of the above actions and more, you
probably will be better off then many. This is not a rumor.
Bear Stearns is the first of many banking and financial institutions that
will start falling in the not too future. If Bear Stearns can fall, so can
JP Morgan, Citibank, HSBC, and the whole world. US economy falls, the rest
will crumble.

India and all those self economies will be the most protected, but not
gullible.

Europe may be a little stronger, but not China , another giant! :place
Malaysia
will see significant impact.

A friendly reminder from a friend!!!

Dear Vinita,

Thanks so much for creating a alomost virtual panicky situation and giving wonderful tips, as if recession is just round the corner.

All we know on the basis of facts gathered that the US recession is not going to hit Indian economy atleast not as badly as in other countries..
Indion economy is poised on robust fundamentals and all industrialists and corporate houses feel on the same pattern in recently concluded all India CEO Forum meet.

All we should do is stay positive and don't block rotation of funds unlike advised by you.

Controlling liabilites is beneficial in all way irrespective of recession & banking on short term gain from equities and F&O, mutual funds etc always bring high risk preposition.

So I think we should stay positive, don't thinks too much about this whole fuss and just concentrate on increasing productivity in our daily lifestyle.

Regards
CC

Nava Durga: The Nine Appellations (9 Forms of The Mother Goddess)

Nava ⒠³ that also means 'new' ⒠³ denotes 'nine' the number to which sages attach special significance. Hence, we have Nava-ratri (9 nights), Nava-patrika (9 leaves / herbs / plants), Nava-graha (9 planets), and Nava-Durga (9 appellations).

Here're the 9 manifestations of Goddess Durga. Each goddess has a different form and a special significance. Nava Durga, if worshipped with religious fervor, it is believed, lift the divine spirit in us and fill us with renewed happiness.

SKONDAMATA
KUSUMANDA
SHAILAPUTRI

She is the Goddess of Fire. She has four arms and three eyes. She rides a lion.
Seated on a lion, she has a magnanimous presence, and possesses eight arms. Her abode is the Solar region.
The embodiment of the power of Brahma, Vishnu and Shiva, she rides a bull and carries a trident and a lotus in her two hands.

KAALRATRI
BRAHMACHARINI
MAHA GAURI

This four-armed form rides an ass. She dissipates darkness from amidst her devotees, and bestows freedom from fear and adversity.
She is the one who practices devout austerity. Filled with bliss and happiness, she is the way to emancipation - Moksha.
She is like an eight-year-old girl. She is intelligent and peaceful, possesses three eyes and four arms, and uses the bull as her vehicle.

KATYAYANI
CHANDRAGHANTA
SIDDHIDATRI

The chosen goddess of Vrindavan, she is alluring in her golden form. She has four arms and three eyes, she is seated on a lion.
She is the apostle of bravery; she rides a lion, and has ten arms. She drives away all evildoers and demoniac incarnation.
The bestower of accomplishments, this manifestation is worshipped as one blessed with glory. Seated on a lotus, she has four arms.

This festival is observed twice a year, once in the beginning of summer then again at the onset of winter.

What's the Significance of Navratri?

During Navaratri, we invoke the energy aspect of God in the form of the universal mother, commonly referred to as "Durga," which literally means the remover of miseries of life. She is also referred to as "Devi" (goddess) or "Shakti" (energy or power). It is this energy, which helps God to proceed with the work of creation, preservation and destruction. In other words, you can say that God is motionless, absolutely changeless, and the Divine Mother Durga, does everything. Truly speaking, our worship of Shakti re-confirms the scientific theory that energy is imperishable. It cannot be created or destroyed. It is always there.

Why Worship the Mother Goddess?

We think this energy is only a form of the Divine Mother, who is the mother of all, and all of us are her children. "Why mother; why not father?", you may ask. Let me just say that we believe that God's glory, his cosmic energy, his greatness and supremacy can best be depicted as the motherhood aspect of God. Just as a child finds all these qualities in his or her mother, similarly, all of us look upon God as mother. In fact, Hinduism is the only religion in the world, which gives so much importance to the mother aspect of God because we believe that mother is the creative aspect of the absolute.

Why Twice a Year?

Every year the beginning of summer and the beginning of winter are two very important junctures of climatic change and solar influence. These two junctions have been chosen as the sacred opportunities for the worship of the divine power because:

(1) We believe that it is the divine power that provides energy for the earth to move around the sun, causing the changes in the outer nature and that this divine power must be thanked for maintaining the correct balance of the universe.

(2) Due to the changes in the nature, the bodies and minds of people undergo a considerable change, and hence, we worship the divine power to bestow upon all of us enough potent powers to maintain our physical and mental balance.

Why Nine Nights & Days?

Navaratri is divided into sets of three days to adore different aspects of the supreme goddess. On the first three days, the Mother is invoked as powerful force called Durga in order to destroy all our impurities, vices and defects. The next three days, the Mother is adored as a giver of spiritual wealth, Lakshmi, who is considered to have the power of bestowing on her devotees the inexhaustible wealth. The final set of three days is spent in worshipping the mother as the goddess of wisdom, Saraswati. In order have all-round success in life, we need the blessings of all three aspects of the divine mother; hence, the worship for nine nights.

Why Do You Need the Power?

Join your parents in worshipping "Ma Durga" during the Navaratri. She will bestow on you wealth, auspiciousness, prosperity, knowledge, and other potent powers to cross every hurdle of life. Remember, everyone in this world worships power, i.e., Durga, because there is no one who does not love and long for power in some form or the other.
