Hi! Deeapak,

This is indeed most enterprising on part of Uttarakhand Govt. Being a
mountain state it is more prone to natural disasters and often people
get stuck up. It is certainly a life saving gesture. As far as
connectivity is concerned, interior of Uttarakhand is better connected
than many other states. In 2003 while working with an American team in
Berinag-Gangolihaat area the team mates were able to talk with their
families from obscure way side tea stalls and they were quite happy
with the speed and rates too.

Regards
Joshi

Re: Plant BirthDay Tree: Save Environment and Hills

Hi! Vishu,

You are correct water storage capacity of Banjh Tree is very High. That's y we are suggesting Banjh Tree for the Hills where trees are less. And for the guys who are interested in Greener Pahad.

And for the guys who want to go for Fruits tree on the way where we have no motor roads.... we have too many choices.... and we can plant the trees for villagers who go by that way and can have fruits and shelter.

Dear Atul,

Most welcome to go for plantation, during our July visit we will work on cost and plantation stop and school kid who will take care of plants, cost will be released just after that.

Dear All,

Till the if some one knows any place in uttaranchal near to project site where we can get the plants so let us know the cost.

Or someone knows some one who does plantation in uttaranchal, who can guide us about legalities and take care of plant , that would be great.

We are launching Birth Day Plant scheme from July 15th.... who so ever is interested kindly mail us and tell us plant type and number of plant with name of the person for whom who want to plant the trees. We promise you will find those threes even after 20 years as we will take care of the same even it rains or not.... even land is fartile or not....

Dear All,

Today is world environment day. Our "Paryavaran" is the only thing which makes this planet (Earth) so special and only planet where life is possible. "Environment Day" reminds us to preserve the same and pass a healthy environment to our next generation.

And in this regard the 1st thing comes to our mind is Trees….. Plant new one and save existing one…. In this regard I remember one old concept given by Arun and Vishu… Plant Birth Day Tree…. Idea was about planting Few number of trees on the occasion of ones own BirthDay and then taking care of them….

I am sure we all want to plant trees and willing to support the cause but main problem is our busy schedule…. Most of us may not find the time to plant tree or may not find the place to plant it and in case we are able to plant few in some location then we might not be able to take care of the plant…. And that's very practical and understandable… . We all are professional and damm busy…

So we have a solution…. As you know we are working as a Platform for all of them who wanna contribute for social cause… so we can use our platform for this cause also…. We have an Inter Collage and a Village…. there we have lots of Kids…. And we all know most of our Hills are without Trees….. to stop them from more degradation and to preserve Watar/Soil we need to plant Trees…. "Banjh" / "Akhroot" tree would be the best for this Cause…. So when ever anyone has his BDay and wanna plant few trees… He/She may give the cost for Trees and Plantation…. And Some Yearly amount to Students for watering and taking care of those Tree… we will assign one kid from the village or School to plant trees and take care of them… he/she will send you yearly report about those trees… and due to all activity will be at common place so when ever we will visit the place we will bring snaps for u…

One can go for Banjh Tree or Fruit trees…. So lemme know who all are interested and revert back if you have any query or comments or suggestions…
