The main concerned here is development of hills so, what is the difference if capital will be at Dehradun or somewhere else. It's better to agitate for the development of hill, pressurize the authority sitting on higher position & make them accountable.
Merely changing the place doesnt make any difference.

I am totaly agree with you. I feel the capital should be a hill area it is better for the progress of hill area. The capital should be in middle of Kumaun Region & Garwhal Region, from where the both region person can visit easily.

Subhash ji is correct..you are misunderstanding the reason of shifting the capital of uttranchal.
Gairsain was already proposed as the capital of Uttrakhand during Uttrakhand movement.nobody was aginst it.
we all want the development of hilly areas of uttrakhand.Plains areas of Utranchal are much developed and
hills areas are not developing at that Speed.I will not say that development is not being done but still hills areas are developing at
tortoise speed .On the other hand we are investing most of the money on developing plains like Dehradoon.
You will not find all the facilities in any other hills area like dehradoon ,haridwar,UdhamSing hNagar.That is why people are still leaving their natives
even after formation of uttrakhand.Number of people have purchased lands nearby plains.which is obvious becoz they are getting good facilities of transportaion, hospitals, educations etc.But But But I want all this kind of facilities in Hills. many of you are saying that
Dehradoon should remain the capital becoz it is having all those kind of faclities which Gairsain or any other Hills area doesnt have.
Which is more painful becoz you want to see that place developing which is having some good facilities
and you think it is wastage of money on deveoping Gersain as a new Capital.We want to See most of the areas equally developed as dehradoon.
so why not we should start it from Gairsain.make Make a new beautiful capital.we all will also feel happy if we will see some PAHADI area deveoped and feel proud.
I dont feel proud dehradoon as the capital becoz it was already famous and developed much before formation of uttrakhand.
koi apna pahad ka area apni Rajdhani ho.jaha keval apne hi log mile, apni yaha ki bhasha,boliyo mai baat kare toh koi baat hai na.
Koi aam Goan ka aadmi jaye toh use ye na lage ki vo dusre state mai aa gya hai..anyways ye toh abhi bahut door ki baat hai..pahle aap ek toh ho..
aur jab tak koi pahad ka area developed nahi hoga tab tak vaha koi industrialization nahi hoga.jitna jyada koi hills area developed hoga utna hi vaha ke log ke Rozgar ke source increase honge..
Just Close your eyes and Imagine your local pahad Areas developed,enough number of transportion, education, hospitals and sorce of employmnt facilities present.good low and order conditions all over there.Number of tourists have come to visit over there.everywhere you see your uttranchali peoples are employed...Feel Good??..I am sure you will feel good..how beautiful dream is it???but again next moment you will start laughing becoz you think it is impossible.becoz like me you all are well aware about the curruption,politics going on in our beautiful state.But at least we should take one step forward.
ROME WAS NOT BUILT IN A DAY.we just need to start a journey,take some intiative and who knows..may be within next 15 or 20 years from today we feel proud on development of our state instead of feeling shame on being a currupt number 1.I am sure if our people want they can make uttrakhand just like switzerland one day and can set an examples for Other states.for that we need dedicated Poltecians and public.
So I think we should start it from making a beautiful capital and by this we can pay our tribute to our uttranchali martyrs.And please you people dont associate it with self motive of those who are in favour of Gairsain as capital.I am also from pauri garhwal.we are not locals of Gairsain but becoz it is a pahadi area and it was already proposed at the time of Uttranchal Andolan.I also have taken part in one or two rallies of UKD andolans when I was only 9 10 years old.so I have some emotional feeling assocated with it.Come what may come ,Money should not come in between in developing any hills area.Money increases with investment..

I think we should concentrate upon the growth of Uttaranchal not the capital location. As our state is not producing good polititian and they polititian vanish after completing 5 years service.

The main concerned here is development of hills so, what is the difference if capital will be at Dehradun or somewhere else. It's better to agitate for the development of hill, pressurize the authority sitting on higher position & make them accountable.

Subhash ji is correct..you are misunderstanding the reason of shifting the capital of uttranchal.
Gairsain was already proposed as the capital of Uttrakhand during Uttrakhand movement.nobody was aginst it.

Whenever there is a change in demography ,capital ,boundaries, it is not due to any discussions ,but due to convenience of political alignments.
Garsain as a capital was only in the agenda of UKD which was supposed to represent the ambitions of paharis at that time .
But with time the UKD lost its moorings and now this Gairsain issue is just an emotional issues which crops up as a seasonal flu.
The mainstream political parties just touch these issues to mollify some fringe groups and parties like UKD,UJM,UJKM etc.to increase their vote share in tight contituencies during elections.Nothing more nothing less.
Now,a declared capital as Dehardun has a first off the block advantage and 5 years down the line maybe 25% of state population's investments ,future plans,retirement destination. etc.are now linked to this.
Now,reversing whole of this may create a bigger trouble and agitation,then garsain can create.
So,Gairsain will forever be an emotional issue .
This can only happen if ever there is a sharp polarisation between hill voting and plains voting with clearcut lines drawn between hills and plains ,but still the no. of seats will not be adequate to attempt this.
And then you will have to factor in the politicians who can be paid one crores each by builders real estate players to maintain a status quo.

The main concerned here is development of hills so, what is the difference if capital will be at Dehradun or somewhere else. It's better to agitate for the development of hill, pressurize the authority sitting on higher position & make them accountable.

Subhash ji is correct..you are misunderstanding the reason of shifting the capital of uttranchal.
Gairsain was already proposed as the capital of Uttrakhand during Uttrakhand movement.nobody was aginst it.
