Uttrakhand is no more a playground ??????
Just don't take this name any more as you never can understand the meaning of PAHAR. Looks like a generation from India's metro who really never know about their roots some how see a salvation in this name.
Better enjoy your stay there and fight for green card. Uttarakhand can live without you.
Don't make PAHAR a subject of your thesis or dirty politics only to appease the west britania class OK. Let me know if any need more details on my observation. Do write on my id not here.

Greetings,

It is a privilege and honor of the Organizing Committee to cordially invite all Uttarakhandi families, their friends, and well wishers to the 10th UANA Convention 2008, on Saturday, July 26th 2008 in the scenic Poughkeepsie area of New York .

This year convention theme is based on kauthik (village fair in pahadi), with the sole purpose of having majestic Uttarakhandi get together to mingle, know, and spend great time together over the event weekend. As always the ever enthusiastic Virginia and DC metro team is coming in full strength with 2 buses full with 100+ people. The innovative idea of our organizing team members for the tri-state families and friends to spend the weekend at the hotel with out-station attendees has got a tremendous response with the hotel booked to its capacity. The organizing team is working selflessly and relentlessly around the clock to make the convention a pleasant and memorable experience worth remembering for years to come.

We like everyone to be part of this event to know more about UANA and its activities, share their views, and contribute ideas. Please make every possible effort to attend the convention.
