Dear PGGians,
I fully agree with Mr Khulbe.It sounds very well that most of the N.R.U.[non resident uttarakhandi] are willing to contribute for upliftment of Devbhumi.In my opinion Horticulture, Education & Tourism industries are the most€ ¢Â suitable industries for U.K.which can empowered€ ¢Â the people of€ ¢Â our Devbhoomi as well as whole€ ¢Â India.Is it not possible to start a PILOT PROJECT in a particular district [covering 6-10 villages only] in the field of Horticulture or Tourism which can generate employment as well as reduce PALAYAN? Put all your forces on that particular project. Perhaps€ ¢Â it€ ¢Â would be a role model for NRU & local people of Devbhoomi.If likeminded members are interested to meet in Delhi, a seminar can be arranged on weekends on sharing basis in Garhwal Sadan, East Delhi.

Dear Friends,
Really its nice to see such an enthusiastic and overwhelming messages from
the members. As requested by many members, we have started working on this
subject. Our team is working in two different directions:-
1. Collecting informations from different sources- Govt/ NGOs and Pvt
players about the funding options available or any other support.
2. Trying to involve more and more people especially who are working
either in govt department (horticulture department/ mission) or any other
organisation.
I have simple idea-
1. Lets meet some time to disscuss future course of action.
2. Take the advice / and involve people working in the similar field-
(govt or Non Govt org).
3. If need arrises, meet the policy makers- MP/MLA and finally Minister
This all is important, because the kind of project we are thinking about,
need a policy level decisions, big money for plantations, fencing,
irrigation, and protection (from wild animal and wild human being also);
Now the forum is again open for further discussion........... ...

ironically these lines bring out the unfortunate part of our pahari society...........in first go I didn€ ¢â' '¹t like this and felt quite bad but after soon I realized its very much true. kya koi UK ke senior citizens jinhone paharon ko najdeek se dekha aur jiya hai mujhe bata sakte hai ki kya aaj se 20 -25 saal pahle bhi yahi haal tha pahadon ka.....????

Most of us r workaholics and settled out where we get accommodated after aging we do not think of going back since we do not like 2face hardship of Pahad it will only b thought when we make our Pahad like our cities then people will b back. Wait n watch time will come when we will b back 2our Pahad. About culture which U feel like 25yrs back will not b there b'cauz any development has its negative effects also...

there is lots of demand for such cereals so if some one purchase land &
start farming for Pulses,vegetable & fruits...definitely they will earn
handsome amount but concern is that no one want to do that ...even those are
living in Uttrakhand they also don't want to do that so how other uttrakhndi
people who lives in delhi or other part of India will get inspiration & they
will think to back in Uttrakhand again..If u ask them na to they have only 1
answer ki "pahad me kya hai kuch nahi... "

ye achhi baat nahi hai vo bhi tab jab aap online koi baat share karte ho.. aap kahi gaye ya nahi.. i had been in Delhi, Gaziabad, Sahibabad, Haryana, Chandigarh/Himanchal, Punjab, Kerla and Uttrakhand .. I have seen this problem every where then why u say Surya ast pahar mast??? yes this is the matter when we work and live with in a specific critearea and do take study what is happening around us then koi bhi aisi poem likh sakta hai aur ye Uttranchal ka durbhagy hai ki use aisa sapoot mila hai.. jo pahar ya apne logo ke liye kuchh karne ke bajay majak udata hai.. sorry friends i never appreciate these type of things ki aap delhi aur bombay mai baith kar bari bari baat karo aur aapki kalam aisa likhe Saramnaak€ ¢Â

As u all know that after scrapping the hydro projects in gangotri
valley, NGRBA proposed the 135 km. stretch from gaumukh to uttarkashi as an
eco-sensitive zone. The draft notification of the eco-sensitive zone has
been put on the public domain and the comments are invited.
u are therefore requested to send your comments/suggestions/objections
keeping some points in the mind for an effective notification.
1- This notification is necessary to conserve and preserve the pristine
area.
2- In this notification dams up to 25 MWs are allowed inside the eco
sensitive zone. we oppose this step.( see the attached representation from
Ganga Ahvaan)
3- Also the tributaries in this stretch are not taken into consideration.
which is again a major omission.
4- In the Uttarakhand state govt. and opposition both are against the
proposal of eco-sensitive zone.
5- The representation of Ganga Ahvaan with detail proposal of eco-sensitive
zone by Ganga Ahvaan is attached for ur reference.
so, in the consideration with above facts, plz do write to NGRBA
through, the Secretary MoEF, and send ur views before 16 august 2011
