This is Nora (in dark green), Karin (in lemon green) and me (in Aishwarya blue) performing Nimbooda ("Lemon") from the movie "Hum Dil de Chuke Sanam" at the annual show 2010 of the oriental dance school ZeoT in Zurich, at the Volkshaus. The original choreography by Saroj Khan is so brilliant that we used or adapted a lot of its moves, and we also made great efforts to sew the costumes just like in the movie. Have a look at the original on youtube. The storytelling parts are about a "raw raw little little lemon" which is a symbol for the fresh young love. It is cut apart and thrown over your shoulder in a ritual to prevent the loving couple from the evil eye (jealousy) of the beloved.
