आज जब भी अपणा गों जांदा तब भोत ही जादा दुःख होन्दु, कभी जीं खोलियों मा रोल पेल रैन्दि छे आज उओं खौल्या मा सुक्राट पडियों च. कभी जों तिबार डिनडला मान बूड बूडियों की चोपाल बैठी रोंदी छे, आज वों तिबार मा मूसा खोंदार लग्या. मीं ते अजी भी याद छ कि जब घौर पुन कोदा कि दें होंदी छे ति सभी गों का नन-लोड़ों (लड़के-लड़की) ते धो (आवाज) लागोंदा छा कि दें (मंडाई ) कन आवा रे. तब सेरा गों का छोटा लोडा
लोड़ी कोदा का ढेर मा उछल कूद करदा छा और कोदा की दें तनी मा हवे जांदी छे, बल्द (बैल) भी नी रिटोर्ण परदा छा, पर आज न सी कोदा ढेर दिख्यंदा और न छोटा नन - लोडा.

हम सभी लोग जारणदा छिन कि रोजी रोटी का बाना सभी लोग अपणा घौर से दूर पदेशियों मा चली गैन लेकिन ये कु मतलब यु त नी च कि हम अपणा घौर मुलुक कु बाटु ही भूल जोला. भोत ही दुःख की बात च. मिन ते यख तक देखि कि कई लोगुन अपनी घौर की कूड़ी पुंगडी- पटली (मकान, खेत खलियान) बेचीं कीक दूर परदेशों मा बसिगैन. उओं लोगों कु क्या होलु? सी अपणी औंण वली पीड़ी ते क्या जवाब दयोला? वों कु अस्तित्व क्या रोलु? जरा
सोचणी वली बात छ?

सुनना छन पर खाली मनोरंजन वास्ते, आजकल कैई सी.डीरू बजारों म अंई जैमा एक गीत छा "सुण रे दिदा, त्वैकु अयुं चा भौजि को सवाल, झट आवा घौर अपणु सैंत्यू घर समाला' इनि न जणि कतगे गीत प्रवासियों खुणी गयेलिन पर प्रवासी एक दा दिल्ली बम्बई जनै व चलिगिन लौटिक फिर पहाड़ नि जाणा छन।
अलग राज्य बणिगे अपना मनखि नेता, अधिकारि बणिगिन, पहाङ़ों कि किस्मत खुलिगे पर ब्वदिन जैसा भाग म हि सुख नि लिख्यूं हो वैथै कुछ भि मिलिजयां पर रैंदु स्यु दुःखी हि छा। क्य नींच आज पहाड़ों मा, स्वच्छ हवा, स्वच्छ पांणी, साग, भुज्जी, जड़ी बूटि सबि कुछ त छा पर कैन चढ़नै उकाल कनै चढ़नै उकाल, कैन-कनै पुगड़यों म काम बस ई दुःख हुयूं। अर ये दुःख बान अपणी पूवॅजों कि धरती छुवड़ना छिन ।
परिवर्तन प्रकृति को नियम छा एक दिन जब देवभूमि अपणौं थै बुलैलि त जाण प्वड़लु सब्यों थै वखी। धरती मां यखुली कवि नि रैंदि। वी थै ब्वन बच्यांणा खुणी क्वी चैंणु। जैमा सि अपणी खैरि बतै साक। रौला गदना भि अफि अफु खुदेणा छिन। जौं गदन्यों म कभि मनख्यों को तांतु लग्यूं रैंदु छौ क्वी नांणा खुणी, क्वी लारा धूंणा खुणी अयां रैंदा छा आज सुकपट प्वड़यूं। पुगड़ि जु हैरि-भैरि रैंदि छै आज
बुगलु जम्यूं। कूड़ियूं क पटला गायब हुयां छन, छन्यो म गोर बछरों कि जगा बांदर घुमणा छिन, तमाम बजारों मा मुसलमान पौंछिगेनि। काम कन्न वास्ते नेपाल विटि डुटयाल ऐगिन। अर फिर गीत लगाणा छिन रामरो लागो ये गढ़वाल मा। अब देखादि डुट्याल ब्वना छिन रामरो लगद गढ़वाल पर गढ़वाल क मूल निवासियों थैं ई सुन्दर नि लगण लग्यूं। काश क्वी त यांफर अमल करा दि अर अपणी मातृभूमि कि पीढ़ी थै पछयणना कि
कोशिश करादि तमाम सुःख तुमरा खुचल्यों म ऐ जाला।

Prof. G.D. Agrawal ended his 18 days long fast,
After getting assurance from Central and state govt.

At 8.30 PM Prof. G.D. Agarwal ended his 18th days old fast, in a meeting
held at Maharana Pratap Bhawan, where he was continuing his fast after
coming from Uttartkashi.

He demanded, in his own word...... *I strongly believe that at least
Bhagirathi upstream of Uttarkashi should be spared of any works that disturb
it's natural flow-regime, ecology, purity or piety and, after brooding over
it for several months, I have decided to oppose such works with all the
might I have.*

Prof.G.D. Agarwal is a distinguished scientist, first Member-Secretary of
the Government of India's Central Pollution Control Board, former Head of
the Department of Civil and Environmental Engineering at IIT Kanpur and a
PhD from the University of California, Berkeley.

He starts his fast from 13 June, 2008 in Uttarkashi city, at Manikarnika
Ghat on the bank of Bhagirathi. After 4 days of his fast State Govt. of
Uttarakhand has closed down Bhairon-Ghati HEP and Pala-Maneri HEP. Then he
moved to Delhi to continue his fast in front of Central Govt.

Mr. Shyam K. Gupta, the coordinator of Bhaghirathi Bachao Sankalp said in a
press confrence that commitment made by the Govt. of Iindia, due to the kind
& prompt intervention of the Prime Minister's office & the declaration of
the Govt. of Uttarakhand
to ensure perennial environmental flow in the river Bhagirathi. Dr. G.D.
Agrawal agreed to break his 18 day old fast today.

The letter dated June 30, 2008 issued by the Director (Hydro) Minister of
Power, Govt.
of India said....

*.................I am directed to say that the Government of India commits
itself to suitable ensure perennial environmental flow in all stretches of
river Bhagirathi.
I have to inform you that the Chairman and Managing Director, National
Tharmal Power Corporation has been directed to constitute a high level
expert group, including your nominee, to examine the various technical
issues involved in ensuring the required flow in the river alive. The high
level expert group will give its report within three months.
we shall invite you for discussion as soon as the recommendations of this
high-level expert group are received, in order to arrive at a mutually
acceptable solution.
we would request Prof. G.D. Aggarwal to give up his indefinite
fast.................*

He will take only vegetable not grains for the next three months.
He said I will continue my struggle for free flow of Ganga.

But apparantely you asked them to deposit some fee towards the placement, is it true?
If it is true then it doesn't make sense to use this group's plateform to run collection centre.
In fact, one should strive to help our people.
