Re: An Idea for village children and peoples

Namaskar Arun ji,

mujhe khushi hui ki aap ko mera Idea pasand aaya...

The primary motive behind this Idea is to motivate peoples for self employment by using there available resourses...for example In my village the conditions are good for pomgranet(ignore spell..mistake) plantation which require less water and care relatively....
so Iam trying to develop a orchid of this and to show peoples there that this is posible and they can earn from it....
As far as childrens are concerned they are most reluctant in agro business..what is general tendency is that when childs do 12th or graduation they simply look for job in plains and then end up in pety jobs (mostly)....so we can let them know that how much potentials are there in these empty fields of there village.....we can make uttrakhand an another himanchal which has huge hoticulture business...
I hope u undrestand my point...i'll keep u know about my experiences....

Dear All,

I have an Idea for school childrens(of higher classes) and villagers on this Idea iam working also in my own village..
The Idea is to promote horticulture as a mean of employment in villages...

Why to do this??
What ever experience i got from my village since 1 yr of field work there, I found that most of the people and childrens thought that after doing 12th or Graduation they will get good jobs in cities in plains....here is the problem.. they are not looking at the potentials of there own village and land there to utilize it and make earning... peoples are very reluctant in hoticulture even I think government is giving aids in this field...

If we were able to motivate 1-2 people or child in this direction Iam sure we can create a chain reaction in 2-3 yr...Iam working in this direction in my water strived village by rain water harvesting which are still to be in place ...I'll share my experience with group as and when i have some thing to tell you...

I hope you'll like this Idea
Regards
Ashok Pokhriyal

Dear All,
I require some help .
Can anybody of you let me know what is the precise
Uttarakhand Government's excise policy towards
wines(fruit wine).
Please quote the specific source .
A company is interested in setting up vineyards in
uttarakhand with the purpose of producing wine and
branding it with the uttarkhand's tag.
Once wine production from local grapes is standardized
,rest of the fruits will automatically be taken care
of.
In this context , the state's wine policy regarding
excise plays a major role in establishment of a viable
wine making unit.
In few states such as Karnataka, Maharashtra ,Himachal
pradesh wine has been shifted out from the liquor
category to "processed food category with low alcohol
content"and given excise benefits to boost its
production and consumption.
I have been trying search engines but was not able to
gather much.Hope some of you know more on this
subject.
Awaiting mails.

Arvind

Mussoorie reigns as Queen of Hills
By Raju Gusain in Mussoorie
Complete report:
http://www.mailtoday.in/showstory.aspx?queryed=9&querypage=18&boxid=1191246&parentid=4158&eddate=Mar%2027%202008%2012:00AM

THE QUEEN of the Hills, as Mussoorie is fondly known,
has retained its status as the most popular hill
station of the Indian Himalayas. Despite a mere 1 per
cent growth in last year, Mussoorie was ahead of
Kullu- Manali, Shimla, Darjeeling, Nainital and Ladakh
in the popularity charts. According to last years
tourism data on Indias six most- visited hill stations
in the Indian Himalayas, collected from state tourism
departments, Mussoorie drew 20,95,823 tourists. Kullu-
Manali followed with 20,65,078, Shimla with 17,55,828,
Darjeeling with 6,78,190, Nainital with 589,516, and
Ladakh with 50,185 tourists.
The growth in weekend tourism has changed the face of
the Queen of the Hills. Writer Ruskin Bond, who has
lived in Mussoorie, says, " In the past, most tourists
used to stay for a longer period, sometimes, even for
three months. Royal families used to visit and stay
for long, leisurely periods. But now, people generally
visit the hill station during weekends. Till the 60s,
the peak tourist season in Mussoorie used to be from
April to October. But now it is an allyear- round
destination." But Mussoorie does not have a growth
record to match. Darjeeling made the most impressive
growth among hill stations in the Indian Himalayas.
While the town in West Bengal showed 32 per cent
growth in 2007, Ladakh saw a growth of 15 per cent,
Shimla 6 per cent and Kullu- Manali and Nainital 5 per
cent each. In comparison, Mussoories 1 per cent growth
was well below expectations. Subhash Goyal, former
president of the Indian Association of Tour Operators,
says, " Mussoorie attracts a big crowd as it is
located near New Delhi. After the formation of a
separate state — Uttarakhand — the hill station has
started getting additional visitors. People visiting
Dehra Dun, usually visit Mussoorie, too. In the 50s,
the annual turn out of visitors in Mussoorie used to
be below 2 lakh. Now, it has grown tenfold to cross 20
lakh. The splendours of Mussoorie — a captivating view
of the snow- capped Himalayas, stunning sights of the
Doon valley, walks down Mall Road and a ropeway ride
to Gun Hill — make it one of the hottest weekend
destinations. The tourist season used to last for
months from May to July and October- November between
1950 and 1979. But after 1984, things changed
drastically and the tourism season began to expand.
The last eight years have recorded over 50,000
visitors each month, thus making Mussoorie a round the
year tourist destination. ON A HIGH: Mussoorie has
become a favourite weekend destination for tourists
from Delhi, UP and Haryana.

Hi! Prabhakar Ji.

This tour is for anyone (you, your family your frns relatives anyone) to promote tourism in Remote Uttaranchal areas and to pass benefits directly to local by giving small training to them.

Char Dham Yatra is gud idea but for the same Tours are already there and doesn't give major share to Native Guys.... But if someone is interested then we can make tieup with existing tours after finishing of our package.

Dear Shubhra and FS Members,

We are very sorry for not able to provide you exact cost till now. Actually there is no Fixed cost on a Kid. Its very customized and depends on various factors like Age, class, hobbies, interests and Progress of kid. So one can contribute any amount and even can fix that amount for any specific purpose , like school edu of Kid or Med/engg preparation or Semi Prof course or any vocational course for a gal... each and every thing has a separate cost....

And If the amount contributed by you will be short for that purpose then will include someone else amount or FS funds to get that done.

Anyways, I am listing down a rough estimate of School Education of Kids:

Below 5th INR 2000/Year
6th-8th INR 2500/Year
9th-10th INR 3500/Year
11th-12th INR 5000/Year

* these amounts includes School fees, 2 dresses , 1 sweater, Shoes, Books, Stationary

Now few other approx costs for kid's development which you may include along with above stated amounts as per your adopted Kid and his/her growth Plan:

Monthly Story/GK/General informative Books 1200 INR/Year/Kid
New Cloths during Holi/Diwali 800-1000 INR/Year/Kid
Competition preparation Books 1000-2500 INR/Year/Kid
Vocational Course during Summer Vacation 5000 INR/Year/Kid
Engg/Med Coaching (including Stay) 50000 INR/Year/Kid Polytechnic/Engg/Med Fee depends on collage
Travel allowance for competition Exams 2500 INR/Year/Kid
Competition Exams Forms & Fee 2000-5000 INR/Year/Kid

All these cost may change as per time and type of expense, also will not be applicable for all Kids....

Request you to make a growth plan for your adopted Kid and we will work on cost individually in case you plan something different...

Mussoorie reigns as Queen of Hills
By Raju Gusain in Mussoorie
Complete report:
http://www.mailtoday.in/showstory.aspx?queryed=9&querypage=18&boxid=1191246&parentid=4158&eddate=Mar%2027%202008%2012:00AM

THE QUEEN of the Hills, as Mussoorie is fondly known,
has retained its status as the most popular hill
station of the Indian Himalayas. Despite a mere 1 per
cent growth in last year, Mussoorie was ahead of
Kullu- Manali, Shimla, Darjeeling, Nainital and Ladakh
in the popularity charts. According to last years
tourism data on Indias six most- visited hill stations
in the Indian Himalayas, collected from state tourism
departments, Mussoorie drew 20,95,823 tourists. Kullu-
Manali followed with 20,65,078, Shimla with 17,55,828,
Darjeeling with 6,78,190, Nainital with 589,516, and
Ladakh with 50,185 tourists.
The growth in weekend tourism has changed the face of
the Queen of the Hills. Writer Ruskin Bond, who has
lived in Mussoorie, says, " In the past, most tourists
used to stay for a longer period, sometimes, even for
three months. Royal families used to visit and stay
for long, leisurely periods. But now, people generally
visit the hill station during weekends. Till the 60s,
the peak tourist season in Mussoorie used to be from
April to October. But now it is an allyear- round
destination." But Mussoorie does not have a growth
record to match. Darjeeling made the most impressive
growth among hill stations in the Indian Himalayas.
While the town in West Bengal showed 32 per cent
growth in 2007, Ladakh saw a growth of 15 per cent,
Shimla 6 per cent and Kullu- Manali and Nainital 5 per
cent each. In comparison, Mussoories 1 per cent growth
was well below expectations. Subhash Goyal, former
president of the Indian Association of Tour Operators,
says, " Mussoorie attracts a big crowd as it is
located near New Delhi. After the formation of a
separate state — Uttarakhand — the hill station has
started getting additional visitors. People visiting
Dehra Dun, usually visit Mussoorie, too. In the 50s,
the annual turn out of visitors in Mussoorie used to
be below 2 lakh. Now, it has grown tenfold to cross 20
lakh. The splendours of Mussoorie — a captivating view
of the snow- capped Himalayas, stunning sights of the
Doon valley, walks down Mall Road and a ropeway ride
to Gun Hill — make it one of the hottest weekend
destinations. The tourist season used to last for
months from May to July and October- November between
1950 and 1979. But after 1984, things changed
drastically and the tourism season began to expand.
The last eight years have recorded over 50,000
visitors each month, thus making Mussoorie a round the
year tourist destination. ON A HIGH: Mussoorie has
become a favourite weekend destination for tourists
from Delhi, UP and Haryana.

Hi All,

I hope you all are doing well. I have pleasure in announcing that we are trying to develop an ecommerce business portal for promoting traditional/commercial products from Uttarakhand online, across the internet world. We are trying to develop this site for Uttarakhandi small & big business holders who are not having access and reach to sell their products online and not aware of this virtual world.

As you all people know that today is the era of e-business or Internet. Internet has become backbone of our daily life/needs. People doesn't want to waste time in searching here and there in market if they need some specific product, they really trying to search products online on internet by browsing search engine like www.google.com , www.msn.com , www.yahoo.com etc.. Type your search item and you will found a lot of information or websites related to your query.

As we know that Uttarakhand also produce a lot of things that are unique in itself but due to not proper supply or marketing resources we can not get these products easily in the market. Having this aim in our minds we are planning to give an easiest way to our Uttarakhandi people to promote their products across the world so that our all Uttarakhandi people can get benefit from online world. We Uttarakhandi people are expanded all over the world, if they want to buy something related to traditional/cultural or typical goods from Uttarakhand, they would come to India or their village or request to somebody to send that particular thing to them, even that never gives surety of availability of those products.

Our main objective behind creating this website is to promote all traditional/unique products from Uttarakhand so people can get access to it from anywhere in the world. We want to establish a long-term business relationship with individual home makers, NGOs, NPOs, whole small & big entrepreneursof Uttarkhand's.

We will do some promotional activities for this website. Advertising will be absolutely free of cost. We would like to request all those peoples who are running any types of business whether it is individuals, small business firm like small shops or big, please send us their product catalogs along with product details, product price, product images and product availability time.

We want following things from you.

Product list (with description of each product)
Price list
Products images/photos
Availability of product (Time frame, like how many days you will take to deliver)
Physical location of your business
Correspondence address
Phone No
Mobile No

It doesn't matter that what kind of products are selling or dealing and where you are located. If you belongs to Uttarakhand and having a business, you will also able advertise your business on this website. We will provide you best platform to market and hope you will get more exposer and consequentially get more revenue from your business.

So dear friends what are you waiting for???, if you are running any business then send your business profile to us or if any of your relatives doing business, please forward this mail to them and ask them send us your product details.

Please remember don't send me your product details with replying this mail or don't forward in-group. Send email or contact me at my personal e-mail id ONLY sckkandpal@gmail.com

If you have any query, doubts or suggestions regarding this, please do let me know.

I would like to say once again that the advertising cost is absolutely free, after getting your product & contact information, we will contact you very soon for further process.
